All eyes will be on seed Shohei Ohtani, who leads the majors with 33 home runs during the all-star break. The Angels two-way star will have the chance to shine in the derby 24 hours before entering the field as the starting pitcher and the AL’s first hitter in the Midsummer Classic.
Alonso, the 2019 winner, is the No.5 seed and will face Royals wide receiver Salvador Perez in the first round.
