It is essential to note that the schedules for the week 10 battles on Sunday are subject to change.
As you can see, the XFL is made up of eight teams that will compete on the weekend afternoon so that the right is the last to stand on April 26. The most discerning eye will notice that the season begins immediately after Super Bowl 54, which affirms their reluctance to face the juggernaut that is the NFL. Their will be a week off between playoffs and the championship, and it also coincides (or not so much) as to prevent a clash with the 2020 NFL draft in Las Vegas – which will take place from April 23 to 25.
The XFL championship game will take place a day after the NFL draft closes, and it will be interesting to see how the performance of players in the former affects the scouts and general managers’ decisions regarding the latter. If there are outstanding veteran players in the XFL, this could prompt some NFL teams to think twice about the value they place on certain players and / or positions in the college prospect pool; and this could be particularly true in later cycles and free agency not written.
This is, of course, if the XFL can succeed the season without suffering the same fate as the AAF.
To their credit, although they only lasted one season in 2001, they played it until its conclusion, but hope that this time their stay will not be as short. And so on, the XFL is “back for the first time” on Saturday, February 8.
Football has no offseason in 2020.
