PF / C KELLY OLYNYK, MIA at NO, $ 3,900
There are several solid value options for big players on this list of 20 teams, and Olynyk is worth a look as it has been heated recently, although its role has not been huge. Throughout the season, coach Erik Spoelstra continued to tweak and adjust his rotation and Olynyk went from beginner to after-the-fact thinking and vice versa. Recently, he left the bench with key contributions in the second unit.
Olynyk played less than 20 minutes in five straight games but still scored at least 11 points four times and produced more than 25 DKFP in three of these contests. He had a particularly impressive game against Dallas in this streak where he produced 13 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and 36.25. DKFP in just 19 minutes. In his last game, he hit his five shots on the field and scored 16 points in 16 minutes while producing 26.75. DKFP. In those five games, Olynyk managed to shoot 76% from the field and 87% from long distance. He was 25.75 DKFP in his game earlier this season with the Pelicans and will be looking to stay warm for the heat and produce another big game on Friday.
SF / PF GRANT WILLIAMS, BOS against. UTA, $ 3,400
While the Celtics are expected to recover Kemba Walker ($ 7,600) on a limited basis, they will still be without Jaylen Brown (hamstring) and Gordon Hayward (knee). Even if Williams returns to the bench after starting Wednesday against the Cavs, there should still be enough points for the rookie to be a good value game at every point before.
Williams played 27 minutes in the start and had a solid 19.75 DKFP on eight points, five rebounds, a decisive pass, theft and a blockage. It has shown that it can be a key contributor in a larger role and produces more than 18 DKFP in four of five games, the Celtics were also shorthanded for the last time. Williams doesn’t have a cap as high as some of the other movie options, he isn’t a superior offense option, but he can fill out the stats sheet and return a 5x value if he’s stretched against Jazz.
PG / SG PATTY MILLS, SA at BKN, $ 3,400
The Spurs are still in the running for the Western Conference playoffs despite a difficult rodeo trip. They were back on the road in Charlotte on Tuesday and earned a victory in the replacement for Tim Duncan as head coach against the Hornets. They will continue their journey with a stop at Brooklyn on Friday and Mills is one of the best value options on the guard, as the Australian veteran continues to provide a solid off-the-bench offense to Duncan, Gregg Popovich and the rest of his teammates. Spurs.
Mills had at least nine shots in seven straight games and scored at least eight points in eight straight games. He had 24 points and 34.5 DKFP Monday against the Pacers and followed that up with a solid 13 points and 18.25 DKFP against Charlotte. Mills had one of his best nights of the season when the Spurs faced Brooklyn earlier this season, producing 34.75 DKFP on 27 points in 26 minutes on December 19. It continues to have a high upward score which gives it a good ceiling.
VS ARON BAYNES, PHO against. POR, $ 3,000
A second The Land Down Under value to consider on this list is Baynes, who had an eventful season in his first year at Phoenix. Baynes had a great run as the starting center for Phoenix while Deandre Ayton ($ 8,300; ankle) was suspended, but the fat man had injury issues and resumed a minimal role as a reserve. Ayton is doubtful for this competition with an ankle injury, however, Baynes could have a chance to return to the starting lineup in a favorable match against Portland.
Baynes has played a few minutes since his return from the star break but has produced 53.25 DKFP in 52 minutes during his last four contests. He was not part of the Suns’ rotation against the Raptors in their last game since Phoenix played Ayton 39 minutes. If Ayton is left out for this game, Baynes should be a big game at minimum wage if he is willing to take on a bigger workload.
