The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is about to give the sedan a serious improvement in performance, and these spy photos catch one on the road with a coating only on the hood. Like the Challenger with that nickname, we expect the sedan to pack the air from the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 developing 797 horsepower (594 kilowatts) and 707 pound-feet (958 Newton meters) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission would be the only transmission option.
Despite the coating on the hood, it is obvious that there is a large bucket there, which would help direct fresh air to the supercharged engine. The rest of the front end seems to come directly from the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, including the wheels.
Likewise, the rear also looks identical to the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. However, the tailpipes of this car seem to have a rough finish, rather than the smooth, polished appearance of the parts of the existing model.

Rumors about the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye date back to May 2019, when an Instagram post by Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman claimed the model was on its way. However, he did not cite any source, and the vehicle’s rumored debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show did not occur. Speculation resumed in January 2020 when a Dodge advertisement on Facebook mentioned the vehicle.
Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye’s debut may be in a few weeks. The poster for the upcoming So-Cal Spring Festival 15 shows a blue loader with an enlarged hood scoop, and the image could be a clue to a special vehicle making its debut there. That would fit rumors that Charger Redeye would debut in the spring and go on sale in the summer.
