A massive manhunt is underway after two deputies were shot during a chase with a stolen car in Bibb County, Alabama on Wednesday afternoon. Learn more in the video above. The Centerville Press identified the two deputies as Chris Poole and Brad Johnson on Facebook Wednesday night. A deputy was rushed to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Authorities from multiple agencies helped block traffic along the road as the ambulance moved north on Interstate 65. It is not known at this time where the other deputy is being treated, but Jackson has said he believed the deputy was in a hospital in Birmingham. The suspect, 26-year-old Austin Hall, remains at large. Several law enforcement agencies are involved in the manhunt. Hall has a very long criminal history dating back to 2012, including assault, burglary, attempted escape, theft of property and injury to a police officer, according to court records. 169 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. ALEA says Hall is considered “armed and extremely dangerous.” Hall was last seen at the Cahaba Wildlife Management Area along Highway 25 and the Golfer’s Trail in Bibb County. Residents of the Brierfield area are asked to stay indoors and keep their doors locked as the search continues. .A police staging area is set up at the intersection of Bulldog Bend and Highway 25 in Bibb County. According to ALEA, law enforcement agencies ranging from local departments to the FBI are participating in the manhunt for Hall. A vigil was held in Centerville around 8 p.m. Wednesday for the two deputies. Dozens of people gathered around City Hall in a circle to pray for MPs, their families and first responders.
