s catalog of games is family-friendly, offering across several genres. If you’re looking for something fun for the little ones, Apple Arcade has sections dedicated to families and newbie players, along with an age rating for each title. are added almost every week.
Here are some of my favorites.
Way of the Turtle is a cute and colorful platform game for one player. Navigate an obstacle course on the beach and collect coins while avoiding traps. As you continue you will gain shells which will give you more abilities. The only problem is that Mr. Turtle never stops moving, which can make him difficult to maneuver at times.
Take to the skies with Biscuit the Brave, a young macaw, in this tropical platform game. Touching the screen makes Biscuit fly. Too much tapping sends the macaw too high, not enough tapping causes it to fall too low. You have to maintain the correct altitude to avoid enemies and obstacles while collecting coins. As you explore other islands, you will learn tricks and meet different characters like Penny the Penguin, who wants to become a pirate.
In this addicting game, you play as a dodo bird who must save its eggs when they leave the nest. Get them home in under 30 seconds while collecting coins, dodging obstacles like monkeys and snakes, and unlocking more dodos.
The Lego brand has stood the test of time, moving from plastic blocks to the big screen to video games. Lego Brawls is an easy to start mobile fighting game. The game offers countless ways to build your Lego character in a fast paced 4v4 multiplayer game. Each stage of the game brings original new challenges, objectives and bonuses, like a pie thrower, cactus costume, snake car or hot dog stand. Take part in a party or fight, or keep training.
Frog in Toytown
Embark on a quest inside a human’s house to save lost “frogs” after being swept away by a storm. You will navigate a land full of toys – dodge toy cars, climb block buildings and collect jelly candy to save the frogs. When you save a frog, it jumps onto Frogger’s back (which is as cute as it sounds). Carrying the frogs adds an extra challenge during obstacle courses as they can fall. If you liked the old-fashioned Frogger, this game is worth checking out.
The enchanted world
The Enchanted World tells the story of a young fairy whose world is destroyed by dark forces. You will help him on his journey to repair and heal what has been damaged. With guidance from a red songbird along the way, you’ll get help from a web-weaving spider, quirky robots, a hungry frog, and more. Through sliding block style gameplay, you’ll reroute rivers, mend tree roots, rearrange gears on factory floor, and save your world from darkness.
Sonic is a classic game from the 90s. Chances are you will know who the fast little hedgehog is, even if you’ve never played the games. Maneuver your car to grab as many rings as possible, dodge traps and win. The game is fun and the controls are easy to learn. You’ll run in teams with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles at the start, and you can change your team to other characters like Shadow, Amy, and others as you level up.
In Sneaky Sasquatch, you’ll be playing just that: a devious sasquatch. But you also get the help of a smart raccoon. Sneak around the campsite and fill your backpack with snacks. Sometimes other animals, like the sleeping bear, are willing to pay for picnic leftovers. You can use the money at the Raccoon Shop. Just make sure you get on your tiptoes so you don’t get caught by the surly ranger and scare off the campers.
Rayman Mini, based on the classic 90s game franchise, takes place in a magical world that needs to be saved. You’ll jump, bounce off flowers, and glide through streams as you collect lums (small firefly-like bugs), coins, and other special prizes. The revamped platform game doesn’t use a timer and lets you try as many times as you need to progress.
Alba: a wildlife adventure
In, the main character goes to a Mediterranean island to spend the summer with his grandparents. But once she starts exploring, she realizes that there is a litter box issue putting local animals at risk. With the help of her avid bird-loving grandfather and Ines, Alba launches a popular campaign to clean up the island. As you play, the more volunteers you gather, the luckier your movement will have, so you should try to convince the islanders to join the cause.
SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit
is a fun platform game that takes you through the world of SpongeBob SquarePants. Hop on trampolines, slide down ziplines, dodge jellyfish, and collect coins and spatulas along the way to foil the infamous mini-villain Plankton’s plans to steal Krabby Patty’s secret formula. It’s up to SpongeBob and his friends – Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Gary the Snail and Mr. Krabs – to stop him.
Close it! is a casual simulation game where you have to gather resources to create the farm of your dreams. Play mini-games, work the land, collect resources, plant seeds, decorate the farm of your dreams, harvest crops and take care of your animals in this fun farming adventure.
Crayola Create and Play
is packed with fun features like coloring pages, dealing with in-game creatures and plants, arcade-style and learning games, puzzles, and more. It encourages creativity and curiosity with digital versions of Crayola art supplies (remember stamp markers?), While encouraging kids to think about letters, numbers, problem solving and more. There are no “wrong” answers, just creativity.
Loud House: out of control
I am based on the Nickelodeon show. Help Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters – Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily – achieve timed and concurrent goals. Don’t clash with each other or cause sibling rivalry when planning activities in the busy house. The Timer adds an extra level of mayhem as you direct Lincoln to his comics or Lana to his Mud Pies. You will get bonus points for beating the watch. Each floor of the Loud House has new challenges pending and special items to collect.
Steven Universe: Unleash the Light
Steven Universe: Unleash the Light is a colorful platform RPG, featuring all of your favorite characters from the popular Cartoon Network animated series – the Gems, Steven, Lapis Lazuli or Bismuth. Gather a team to fight against two prism-wielding gems. Unlock new abilities, equip new costumes, and change formation to gem fusions, including Sunstone or Rainbow Quartz 2.0.
