More than a dozen people were injured on Saturday after a vehicle hit a crowd in Berwick, Pennsylvania, authorities said.
Geisinger Medical Center in nearby Danville saw 13 patients mid-evening, spokeswoman Natalie Buyny said by email. The conditions of the injured were not available.

NBC affiliate WBRE of Wilkes-Barre reported that a vehicle struck several people attending a benefit in the Berwick borough.
Crowds had gathered to raise money for the families of the three children and seven adults who died in an early morning house fire on August 5 in the nearby town of Nescopeck.
Saturday’s performance took place at the bar and restaurant of the addiction department. The investigation into the Aug. 5 fire is ongoing, and Pennsylvania State Police have called the case a “complex criminal investigation,” WBRE reported.
The fire broke out before 3 a.m. and first responders reported flames that repelled their efforts to get inside the two-story home and perform rescues, authorities said later in the day. daytime.

The deceased included seven adults aged 19 to 79, two boys aged 5 and 6 and a girl aged 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
