With the highly anticipated new romantic comedy Moon shot out this week, fans of Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor are thrilled to see how their chemistry works onscreen in this story set in outer space.
It follows Sophie, who travels to Mars to see if she can reignite her flame with her long-distance boyfriend, but her trip is hijacked by Walt, who stows away to see space as he’s always wanted to. All that being said, even if fans of these stars plan to see this movie, there are plenty of other options to keep them entertained if they want to make a rom-com double feature.

The immensely quotable film love strong is an adorable Christmas romantic comedy about a girl who gets catfished and hatches a plan with the guy who catfishes her to help her find the guy she wants, even if it’s him all along .
This movie looks like Moon shot because the two main characters both work to hide their secret arrangement from their friends and family by lying about why they visited and because it’s just a sweet story that proves love is blind.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

the Jumanji the reboot film takes pride in the original film and is exactly the kind of film that Moon shot fans would like to see. It has adventure and romance with fun moments and hilarious Jack Black quotes throughout most of the film.
What is this movie like Moon shot is that, at its core, it’s about a guy who chases after a girl he thinks is out of his league only to find out that they’re actually a perfect match when they have to work together to get out of their current situation .
THE DUFF (2015)

The DUFF is a classic teen romantic-comedy film about a girl who has little self-confidence, but, with the help of the most popular boy in school, she learns not to be “the-fat-ugly-friend- designated”. As their friendship grows, so does the spark between them.
This movie looks a lot like Moon shot because they are two people who follow different life paths, but due to their current situation, they realize that they have more in common than they originally thought. What makes The Duff special is that it’s about self-acceptance and developing the confidence to do anything because people are going to judge no matter what.
Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999)

While this film may be aimed at a younger audience and may not have romantic comedy elements to speak of, this Disney Channel Original film has the same retro-space aesthetic as Moon shot and has the colorful and chrome styling to match.
Zenon: the girl of the 21st century is a nostalgic movie for many girls who grew up watching Disney and Moonshot is just the college version of this cute and futuristic movie set in outer space. Not to mention, it features a young Raven Simone before her days on It’s so raven.
Paper Towns (2015)

paper towns is about a girl named Margo who penetrates Quentin, the main character, and then disappears without a trace…or so she thought. Just like in Moonshot, Quentin is the one who chases after the girl and shows her that he really cares for her even though she doesn’t think about being with him.
This movie, based on John Green’s novel of the same name, isn’t the perfect romantic comedy with an uplifting ending, but it does show a romance that’s uniquely teenage and real. Nat Wolff’s Quentin is really well developed as a character and he lets Margo be herself because he would never want to change his free spirit.
The Perfect Date (2019)

The perfect date is about a young man who develops an app where he gets paid to go on dates so he can pay for college, but soon realizes that this venture makes it impossible to date the girl he has the date for. crush.
This movie is a super sweet Netflix romantic comedy that has a tasty ending that everyone will enjoy, but what makes it the most Moon shot is the fact that the boy is the engine of romance, not the girl. He works tirelessly to please her before he even knows he’s falling in love with her, which makes the tone quite similar.

The proposal follows a high-profile businesswoman who is about to be kicked out and therefore lose her job when she forces her assistant to pose as her fiancé so she can get her green card.
It’s one of the best rom-coms, but what makes it most beloved Moon shot is the fact that these two must continue to lie together as they spend a weekend in his assistants’ hometown where they accidentally fall in love. Again, this is another story about two seemingly opposite people, who, under pressure, realize their similarities.
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)

To all the boys I’ve loved before, which features many likable characters, follows Laura Jean, an adorable teenager who writes a personal letter to every crush she’s had to deal with her emotions. All is well until a family member sends all the letters.
This film was also based on a book and was wildly successful. How is it most like Moon shot is obviously the fact that Lana Condor plays the female lead and it’s a romantic comedy about the unexpected reciprocity of love.
Passengers (2016)

Passengers follows Aurora and Jim, the only two people who seem to have been awakened from many lives before their ship reaches its destination due to an error that prevents the survival of everyone sleeping on the entire ship.
This movie is a romantic comedy that slowly turns into a psychological horror, however, it keeps a romantic tone and also takes place in space like Moon shot. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are the only two people in this entire movie and they carry that responsibility reasonably well.
The Space Between Us (2017)

The space between us is a truly moving film about long-distance love and space. It follows a young man who can never leave the Mars colony because he was born there and would not survive the conditions on his home planet because of it. However, he is still able to form a romantic attachment with a girl who is on Earth.
This story is like Moon shot because it’s about the challenges of long-distance dating, it’s set on a Martian space station, and it’s about finding joy in feeling detached from the world.
